One simple process creates hydrophobic protection across multiple exterior surfaces.
INSTANT HYDROPHOBIC PERFORMANCE
Watch the Water Move
One of the most noticeable characteristics of WATER GLASS is its rapid hydrophobic effect.
Once the diluted solution contacts the properly prepared wet surface and is thoroughly pressure-rinsed, water behavior changes immediately.
The treated surface encourages water to bead and move away more efficiently, making the vehicle easier to rinse and dry.
This hydrophobic behavior also helps make routine maintenance more convenient by reducing the tendency of water and everyday contamination to remain on treated surfaces.
ADVANCED SILICA SEALANT TECHNOLOGY
WATER GLASS combines advanced protective chemistry designed to create a durable, water-repellent surface.
The formula incorporates technologies based on:
- Silica-based protection
- Silicone polymers
- Advanced fluoropolymer technology
Together, these components help create a smooth protective surface with enhanced:
- Hydrophobicity
- Gloss
- Slickness
- Environmental resistance
- Ease of maintenance
The result is an efficient protection system that requires significantly less application time than traditional waxes and manually buffed sealants.
GLOSS + SLICKNESS
Protection You Can See and Feel
WATER GLASS does more than change the way water behaves.
The protective layer enhances the visual appearance and surface feel of properly maintained exterior finishes.
On automotive paint, WATER GLASS helps increase:
GLOSS
Creates a brighter, more reflective finish.
SLICKNESS
Produces a smoother surface feel.
WATER REPELLENCY
Encourages rapid water beading and runoff.
EASE OF MAINTENANCE
Helps make future washing, rinsing, and drying more convenient.
DESIGNED FOR COATING MAINTENANCE
Refresh TACSYSTEM Quartz Coatings
WATER GLASS is particularly effective as a maintenance product for compatible TACSYSTEM Quartz Coatings.
Over time, environmental contamination and regular vehicle use can reduce the apparent hydrophobic performance of a coated surface.
WATER GLASS can be used during the maintenance wash to refresh:
- Water repellency
- Surface slickness
- Gloss
- Ease of drying
- Overall coating behavior
This makes WATER GLASS an efficient maintenance option when a full hand-applied topper is not required.
STAND-ALONE PROTECTION
WATER GLASS does not require an existing ceramic coating.
It can also be used as a fast stand-alone sealant on compatible exterior surfaces.
When properly applied and maintained, WATER GLASS provides 1 month or more of hydrophobic protection.
Actual durability can vary depending on:
- Dilution ratio
- Surface preparation
- Vehicle usage
- Washing frequency
- Cleaning chemicals
- Environmental exposure
- Mileage
- Storage conditions
- Maintenance methods
For increased hydrophobic performance and durability, use a stronger concentration within the recommended dilution range.
MULTI-SURFACE EXTERIOR PROTECTION
One Product. Multiple Surfaces.
WATER GLASS is designed for use across a wide range of compatible exterior automotive surfaces.
AUTOMOTIVE PAINT
Enhances gloss, slickness, hydrophobicity, and surface protection.
EXTERIOR PLASTIC
Adds water repellency and helps maintain a clean exterior appearance.
AUTOMOTIVE GLASS
Creates hydrophobic behavior that helps water move away from exterior glass surfaces.
RUBBER
Provides water-repellent surface protection on compatible exterior rubber components.
WHEELS
Makes WATER GLASS especially convenient during regular wheel maintenance by adding fast hydrophobic protection after cleaning.
BRAKE CALIPERS
Can be applied to compatible, fully cooled caliper surfaces during the exterior detailing process.
CONVERTIBLE TOPS
Can be used on compatible convertible-top materials according to the product label and material-care requirements.
IMPORTANT: Always test WATER GLASS on a small, inconspicuous area before applying it to unfamiliar, porous, delicate, refinished, or specialty materials.
1:5–1:50 CONCENTRATED FORMULA
Adjust the Concentration to Your Detailing Needs
WATER GLASS is supplied as a concentrated product and should be diluted with water before spray application.
WATER GLASS : WATER
Recommended Range: 1:5–1:50
A stronger mixture within the recommended range can be selected when greater hydrophobic performance and durability are desired.
A more diluted mixture can be used when lighter maintenance protection is appropriate.
Because the official recommended range is broad, always remain within the specified dilution range and adjust concentration according to the intended application and product-label instructions.
SMALL WORKING AREAS = BETTER CONTROL
WATER GLASS reacts quickly with the vehicle surface.
For this reason, we recommend treating no more than approximately 2–3 panels at a time.
Working in controlled sections provides enough time to:
- Apply the product evenly
- Monitor the reaction
- Prevent premature drying
- Pressure-rinse thoroughly
- Minimize streaking or uneven application
In warm, dry, or windy conditions, reduce the working area further.
MAXIMUM 30-SECOND REACTION TIME
Fast Application Requires Fast Rinsing
After spraying the diluted WATER GLASS solution onto the wet surface, allow the product to react for no more than approximately 30 seconds.
Then immediately pressure-rinse the treated area thoroughly.
Do not allow the product to dry on the vehicle.
Temperature, sunlight, airflow, humidity, and panel temperature can significantly affect drying speed.
If the product begins drying before 30 seconds, rinse immediately.
30 seconds is a maximum working guideline—not a requirement to wait the full 30 seconds.
WHY PRESSURE RINSE?
Thorough pressure rinsing is an important part of the WATER GLASS application process.
The pressure washer helps:
- Thoroughly rinse excess product
- Distribute water across the treated area
- Complete the spray-on, rinse-off application process
- Reduce the possibility of concentrated residue remaining on the surface
Continue rinsing until the treated area has been thoroughly flushed with clean water.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- Make sure the vehicle is parked away from direct sunlight.
- Allow hot exterior surfaces to cool completely.
- Thoroughly wash the vehicle to remove dirt and contamination.
- Rinse the vehicle thoroughly.
- Do not dry the vehicle before WATER GLASS application.
- Dilute WATER GLASS with water at approximately 1:5–1:50, depending on the desired level of performance.
- Prepare only an appropriate amount of diluted solution for the intended application.
- Work on approximately 2–3 panels at a time for better control.
- Spray the diluted WATER GLASS solution evenly onto the wet vehicle surface.
- Allow the product to react for no more than approximately 30 seconds.
- Do not allow the product to dry.
