ADVANCED GLASS COATING TECHNOLOGY
Nano-Technology Protection for Automotive Glass
VIEW COAT uses advanced coating technology designed specifically for automotive glass.
According to the product specification, its formulation incorporates technologies based on:
- Silica
- Hydrocarbon components
- Titanium
- Zirconium
- Fluorine-containing components
These components work together within the coating system to create a durable hydrophobic layer on the glass surface.
The result is enhanced water repellency, reduced contamination adhesion, and easier ongoing glass maintenance.
POWERFUL HYDROPHOBIC PERFORMANCE
Water Beads and Moves Away
Untreated glass allows water to spread irregularly across the surface.
VIEW COAT changes this behavior by creating a hydrophobic surface that encourages water to form droplets rather than spreading into a continuous film.
As the vehicle moves, airflow across the windshield can help push these droplets upward and away from the driver's field of view.
This effect becomes particularly noticeable at moderate driving speeds.
The result is faster water movement and improved glass clarity during wet-weather driving conditions.
APPROX. 30 MPH+ WATER MOVEMENT
Let Airflow Help Move the Water
At approximately 30 mph (48 km/h) and above, aerodynamic airflow can help move water droplets away from a properly treated windshield.
Actual water behavior will vary depending on:
- Vehicle speed
- Rainfall intensity
- Vehicle aerodynamics
- Windshield angle
- Wind direction
- Condition of the coating
- Windshield cleanliness
- Wiper condition
- Environmental conditions
For this reason, VIEW COAT should not be described as eliminating the need for windshield wipers.
VIEW COAT is designed to support wet-weather visibility and glass maintenance. It does not replace properly functioning windshield wipers or safe driving practices.
CLEARER WET-WEATHER VISIBILITY
Rain can significantly reduce visibility when water spreads across untreated automotive glass.
VIEW COAT creates a water-repellent surface that helps minimize continuous water film formation and encourages faster droplet movement.
This can help maintain clearer visibility during rain, particularly when vehicle airflow assists water evacuation.
The coating also makes routine removal of road film and environmental contamination more convenient, helping maintain cleaner glass between detailing services.
REDUCED DIRT & CONTAMINATION
Cleaner Glass Is Easier to See Through
VIEW COAT does more than repel rainwater.
Its protective surface also helps reduce the adhesion of:
- Dirt
- Road grime
- Water-related mineral deposits
- Environmental contamination
- Everyday staining
Because contamination has greater difficulty bonding directly to the treated glass, routine cleaning can become easier.
This helps maintain the clarity and appearance of automotive glass throughout the coating's service life.
6–12 MONTH GLASS PROTECTION
VIEW COAT provides approximately 6–12 months of durability on windshields when properly applied and maintained.
Actual durability may vary depending on:
- Surface preparation
- Application quality
- Windshield-wiper frequency
- Vehicle mileage
- Driving conditions
- Washing frequency
- Cleaning chemicals
- Environmental exposure
- Parking conditions
- Maintenance methods
Windshields typically experience greater mechanical wear than side or rear glass because of regular windshield-wiper operation.
Proper glass preparation is essential for maximizing coating durability.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Preparation Is the Foundation of Performance
Glass coatings depend heavily on direct and uniform bonding to the glass surface.
Before applying VIEW COAT, the glass should be thoroughly cleaned, decontaminated, and prepared.
STEP 1 — CLEAN
Thoroughly wash the automotive glass and surrounding areas.
Remove loose dirt, road film, and general contamination.
STEP 2 — REMOVE MINERAL DEPOSITS
Remove water spots and mineral deposits where necessary.
TACSYSTEM WATER SPOT ZERO can be used where compatible and appropriate for chemical mineral-deposit removal.
STEP 3 — POLISH
Polish the glass where necessary to remove stubborn bonded contamination and correctable surface defects.
The objective is to create the cleanest and most uniform glass surface possible.
STEP 4 — DEGREASE
Clean the prepared glass thoroughly with TACSYSTEM OIL ZERO to remove polishing residue, oils, fingerprints, and other contamination that could interfere with coating bonding.
STEP 5 — INSPECT
Make sure the glass is:
- Completely clean
- Completely dry
- Free from polishing residue
- Free from oil
- Free from mineral deposits
- Free from visible contamination
Only then should VIEW COAT be applied.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- Wear suitable protective gloves and a mask during application.
- Thoroughly clean and decontaminate the glass.
- Polish the glass where necessary until the surface is in optimal condition and free from removable mineral deposits and correctable defects.
- Clean the glass with TACSYSTEM OIL ZERO to remove polishing oils and remaining surface residue.
- Make sure the glass is completely clean, dry, and cool before coating.
- Wrap one supplied 10 × 10 cm microfiber suede around the coating applicator block.
- Apply a small amount of VIEW COAT evenly to the suede applicator.
- Spread the coating across the glass using overlapping crosshatch passes.
- Make sure the entire working area receives thin, uniform coverage.
- Avoid applying VIEW COAT to non-glass surfaces.
- Allow the coating to remain on the glass for approximately 30 seconds.
- Using a fresh, clean microfiber towel, thoroughly buff the glass until all visible coating residue has been removed.
- Inspect the glass carefully under good lighting.
- If necessary, use a second clean microfiber towel for the final buff.
