FEATURES
Ultimate Protection. Extreme Gloss. Professional Performance.
TACSYSTEM QUARTZ CLIMAX is a professional-grade 100% SiO₂ inorganic glass coating system engineered to provide exceptional long-term protection, an ultra-dense solid coating layer, extreme gloss, and outstanding hydrophobic performance.
Unlike conventional single-stage coatings, QUARTZ CLIMAX utilizes a dedicated two-step coating system consisting of a Base Coat and Top Coat.
The Base Coat forms a transparent, hard, glass-like protective layer designed to maximize durability and surface protection. The Top Coat optimizes the surface characteristics by enhancing gloss, slickness, water repellency, and self-cleaning performance.
Together, the two layers create an exceptionally glossy and ultra-hydrophobic finish while providing outstanding resistance against UV exposure, chemicals, and environmental contamination.
Designed exclusively for professional application, QUARTZ CLIMAX is suitable for automotive paint in all colors and provides long-term protection for up to 5 years when properly applied and maintained.

BASE COAT + TOP COAT
Two Specialized Layers. One Complete Protection System.
BASE COAT — Maximum Protection
The QUARTZ CLIMAX Base Coat creates the foundation of the system.
It forms a transparent, hard, glass-like protective layer with a thickness of approximately 0.6 μm, providing the primary barrier between the automotive paint and the surrounding environment.
The Base Coat is engineered to maximize coating density, durability, chemical resistance, and long-term surface protection.
TOP COAT — Maximum Surface Performance
The QUARTZ CLIMAX Top Coat is applied over the cured Base Coat to optimize the final surface characteristics.
It enhances gloss, slickness, hydrophobicity, water repellency, and self-cleaning performance, creating the distinctive finish of the complete QUARTZ CLIMAX system.
Together, the Base Coat and Top Coat provide a balance of long-term protection and premium surface performance.
PROFESSIONAL APPLICATION
Always wear a protective mask and suitable gloves during application. Make sure the surface is completely clean, dry, and free of loose contamination before coating.
For best results, apply in a clean, well-lit, contamination-free environment with the temperature controlled below 25°C.
Fresh suede applicators and microfiber towels should be used frequently throughout the application process to prevent cured coating residue from affecting the finish.
STEP 1 — BASE COAT
- Apply an appropriate amount of QUARTZ CLIMAX Base Coat to a clean microfiber suede applicator.
- Work in sections approximately half the size of a vehicle hood at a time.
- Spread the Base Coat evenly across the entire working area, ensuring complete and uniform coverage.
- Immediately use a fresh, clean microfiber towel to level the coating and remove all excess product from the panel.
- Inspect the treated area carefully under adequate lighting to ensure a uniform finish with no remaining high spots.
- Replace the microfiber suede applicator frequently as you continue around the vehicle.
After completing the Base Coat, wait approximately 1 hour before applying the Top Coat.
STEP 2 — TOP COAT
- Apply an appropriate amount of QUARTZ CLIMAX Top Coat to a fresh microfiber suede applicator.
- Spread the Top Coat evenly across the surface. The Top Coat allows a larger working area than the Base Coat; approximately up to three panels may be treated before changing the suede applicator, depending on application conditions.
- After spreading the coating evenly, immediately level and remove excess product using a fresh, clean microfiber towel.
- Replace buffing towels frequently, ideally at a similar frequency to the suede applicators.
- Carefully inspect each treated area under adequate lighting to ensure an even, residue-free finish.
IMPORTANT: Application conditions such as temperature, humidity, panel size, and working speed may affect coating behavior. Reduce the working area whenever necessary to maintain proper leveling and prevent high spots.
HIGH-SPOT MANAGEMENT
Uneven application or excess coating may create visible high spots, which can remain noticeable for approximately 20–30 minutes after application.
If a high spot is discovered within approximately 1 hour after buffing, it may be reactivated using the coating that was most recently applied.
- If the affected layer is the Base Coat, apply a small amount of Base Coat to a fresh microfiber applicator.
- If the affected layer is the Top Coat, apply a small amount of Top Coat to a fresh microfiber applicator.
Gently work the affected area to reactivate and level the coating, then buff thoroughly with a fresh microfiber towel.
RECOMMENDED SURFACE PREPARATION
Professional Results Begin with Proper Preparation.
For maximum bonding, appearance, and long-term durability, the vehicle surface should be thoroughly cleaned, decontaminated, corrected, and degreased before applying QUARTZ CLIMAX.
- Wash – Thoroughly wash the vehicle using TACSYSTEM Ultra Foam, Mystic Bubble, Mystic Water Repellent, or another suitable automotive shampoo.
- Iron Decontamination – Use TACSYSTEM Iron Zero or Iron Zero Foam to remove embedded iron contamination from the paint and exterior surfaces.
- Paint Correction – Polish the automotive paint to the desired level of clarity and finish, removing defects as required.
- Final Degreasing – After polishing, use TACSYSTEM Oil Zero to remove polishing oils and remaining residue.
- Final Inspection – Make sure the surface is completely clean, dry, cool, and free of contamination before beginning the coating process.
- Coating – Apply the QUARTZ CLIMAX Base Coat followed by the Top Coat according to the professional application procedure.
Thorough surface preparation helps provide optimal coating adhesion, appearance, and long-term durability.
IR CURING
For Maximum Coating Performance
For professional applications, IR curing may be used to accelerate and optimize the curing process.
Base Coat
After applying and leveling the Base Coat, cure the treated surface using an IR lamp at:
50–60°C for approximately 30 minutes
Allow approximately 1 hour before applying the Top Coat.
Top Coat
After applying and leveling the Top Coat, cure the treated surface using an IR lamp according to the recommended professional curing procedure.
Recommended IR Temperature: 50–60°C
Recommended Curing Time: Approximately 30 minutes
CURING & AFTERCARE
Proper curing is essential for achieving maximum coating performance.
- Under normal curing conditions, avoid exposure to water for at least 24 hours after application.
- When the coating has been properly IR-cured at 50–60°C for approximately 30 minutes, the standard 24-hour water-avoidance period may be reduced according to professional application conditions.
- Do not wash the vehicle for at least 7 days after application.
- Avoid unnecessary exposure to moisture, chemicals, and contamination during the initial curing period.
- After full curing, use appropriate maintenance-washing procedures to preserve gloss, hydrophobicity, slickness, and self-cleaning performance.
CAUTIONS
- For professional application only.
- Always wear a protective mask and suitable gloves during application.
- Close each bottle tightly after use and store in a cool, dry place.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- In case of skin contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
- In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
- If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately and show the product container or label to medical personnel.
